Although Miss Moppet comes to sit with me on the couch, she is still scratching at her back. I tried to get her to the vet but she wriggled out of my hands when I tried to get her into the carrier. Then we ran around as I tried to corner her. I missed the appointment. I made an appointment with a mobile vet service.
Although she seemed to want to be patted, now she is acting as if she doesn’t by shifting away when I touch her. Even though I avoid touching her bald spot. Last week the was lying on the couch beside me, exposing her belly and allowing me to pat her there. But this week I noticed her breathing was rapid while I was patting her. So I stopped and her back looks a little better. At least no worse.
Tomorrow the mobile vet comes. I have a massive clean up to do. I have not been about to coax Miss Moppet out of the living room and adjoining kitchen area. She senses something is up and is extremely wary. The mobile vet wants me to put her in a small room tomorrow.
However she won’t go near the room (my sewing room) now. even though she would often nap in a little bed under the table. I have just put a treat in the bed, and some catnip. She saw me take the catnip into the room. She was watching from the cat tree.

But she has chosen to sit in the window now. Worse case scenario: Miss Moppet will be in the living room tomorrow and will not come near us if we sit on the couch. I will pay for the visit, and nothing will be accomplished.
Missy Lee did approach my daughter the other day. There is hope.
