blank November dayz

Miss Moppet completed her predisalone treatment. The days have been rainy.

A bear opened one of my locking stainless steel garbage cans, investigated a bag used kitty litter, and left, leafing a mound of roseship laden orangy. brown poo on the fallen maple leaves. I am grateful to Tom my neighbour who rehung my gate.

The cans have been transferred to a shed that closes with a tight door. I sprinkled cayenne pepper into the can at the top of the bag. Looks untouched this morning.

Tom took the last of my golden delicious apples off the tree, chomping on one as he left. Today I am hauling the garbage off to the transfer station. As soon as I get around to having breakfast.

Miss Moppet is scratching again, but not so much to make a bald spot. I am trying to keep her calm but patting her, and not trying to re-trim her nails. She is climbing up on my lap more and more, and exposing her beautiful spotted tummy to me for gentle caresses.

A land owner by the lake is busy mowing down shrubbery with a big machine. I spoke to him politely about 10 days ago. He professed great love for nature. The other day as he bulldozed vegetation away, an eagle watched from a nearby tree. And that is why I have headlined my post “blank November dayz”. I am blank as to how to help the creatures he is affecting, and it is a grey sky November day in which I am in a daze that private property owners are so free to ruin natural vegetation areas.

A neighbour yesterday told me that the area being bulldozed was once forest. A creek runs through it where beaver used to build their homes. The lakeshore there still oozes with healthy wetland vitality appreciated by geese, ducks, and the odd heron.
