We have had previous claw clipping attempts. Mindy Lo is not keen on the procedure. She wriggles, pulls away, sits on her feet, bites at the snippers, and sometimes bites at me.
This morning, I mixed gabapentin powder into a squishy tuna treat. Mindy Lo ate some of it, but left some of it. I grabbed a quick breakfast. And we tried some clipping.
I had shut her up in the sewing room, which is very comfy and full of carpets and cat beds. I put on some quiet music that she enjoys (I think). But she got away when I opened the door so we tried claw clipping in the living room.

I managed three (maybe four) claws on her left front paw, but got worried that I was giving her so many treats that maybe I should give up. She hadn’t had enough gabapentin to slow her down] to let me hold her paws long enough to safely snip.
We shall have to try again because her claws are drawing blood when she scratches me playfully. Plus my bedspread is in danger, not to mention carpets and furniture.
